About YoBo Jo
My journey started in High School when I changed my own lifestyle and body. I was manipulating my food choices and realized quickly how much that truly mattered when it came to changing the shape of your body.
Then it was my goal to offer the first student-led fitness program at Ohio Wesleyan University. I was studying economics, and business law and the logic of applying certain scientific methods to different elements of the workout to get results came naturally to me.
When I solidified my fitness method I opened up a fitness studio in Millwood, NY offering group fitness classes, movement classes for kids to the beat of hiphop music and birthday parties.
This was one of the greatest successes of mine as being invited into schools for after school programs and invited to Universities to offer group health and fitness classes validated the importance of what I was doing and the impact that I could have on peoples lives.
The one thing I would like to offer this planet is confidence for individuals who need it, health education for those who seek it, and the ability to effectively and safely participate in life's activities no matter your age or health status.
It was this passion that lead me to acquire my certifications from the American Council on Exercise. I became certified in Group Fitness, Youth Fitness, Non-Diet Weight Management for pre-school aged children, adolescents, teens and adults, Sports Performance, and ultimately acquired the highest regarded Health Coach certification in the industry. My education in Behavioral Change Science and Lifestyle Medicine allowed me to broaden my impact on the lives of people in all circumstances.
This is Who I am and What I do.
What is YoBo?
While mastering my craft, I solidified my method. I called it YoBo, the fusion of two completely different training methods (Yoga and Boxing) to get a superior form of training.
